Pray for them as they assist the Session and congregation in declaring the glory of God among the nations and His marvelous deeds among the peoples. Pray for them also as they attempt to keep the Session and congregation informed about the Presbyterian Church in Canada, foreign missions, Canadian missions and special projects. Pray also about becoming a member of this committee. They are always looking for people to become involved in this area of our ministry.

If you received your tax receipt for 2011 last Sunday, there was a mistake in the date. The amount & tax year are correct but the date of issue should be January 2012 & unfortunately it says January 2011. The Canada Revenue Agency advises to change by hand & initial so if you could bring your receipt to Karin Cowan in the Church Office or see her following the service, she'll make the change for you. Sorry for the inconvenience!

T he sympathy of the St. Andrew's family is extended to Joan West & family on the death of her husband Jerry this past Sunday. Jerry was the brother of Carol Pollard & Jack West. A celebration of Jerry's life will take place this summer. Please keep these families in your prayers during this difficult time.

Please Note: There are still offering envelopes that have not yet been picked up at the back of the sanctuary.

St. Andrew's receives offerings either through regular offering envelopes or PAR (Pre Authorized Remittance). Regardless of your method of giving your tithes & offerings, please be assured we appreciate your continuous support.

We would like to highlight the PAR method of giving. We are very grateful for those of you who are already on this system. With PAR your offering is deducted from your bank account once a month on the 20th (a pre-authorized deduction just like your mortgage, insurance or household bills). PAR helps St. Andrew's cut down on expenses. The cost of 126 boxes of envelopes (our 2012 order) was over $500.00, a sizeable expense. We are required by law to keep offering envelopes for 3 years thus requiring storage space. PAR helps us to cut down on the expense of the envelopes as well as storage.

If you are already on PAR & wish to change the amount you are donating, it's very simple! A change form is filled out, signed & submitted to Karin Cowan in the Church Office.

If you would like to sign-up for PAR, we require a void cheque & a form filled out. We ask that you consider this method if you have not already done so and if you would like to make a change to your givings, please fill out the Changes/ Information Sheet.

The sign-up forms & information sheets are available at the back of the sanctuary & also at the side entrance. Please give this information to Karin Cowan or Bonnie Ramsay or drop the sheets off at the Church Office. Please contact us if you have any questions (705) 746-9612.

Take a minute each day this week and pray for for The Pakistan Bible Correspondence Institute (PBCI).

March 23, 2012 marks 55 years of ministry for PBCI in this troubled part of the world. They continue educating around 5,000 students who study the Word of God regularly through five PBCI Regional Centres: Rawalpindi, Karachi, Hyderabad, Faisalabad and Peshawar. A good number of Camps are run throughout the year as well. Pray for God's blessing on the PBCI leaders. Specifically pray for Samson Javed who has visited our congregation on many occasions over the years and is hoping to come again this year in April along with his wife and children who have been granted a Visa to travel. Pray for the safety of Christians in that part of the world.

On Sunday, October 2nd, at a congregational meeting the following people were appointed to comprise the Search Committee for St. Andrews. You can send individual messages simply by clicking on their name.

To send a message click on the appropriate link below:

  • The Chair for this committee is John Hake (705) 389-2748.
  • The Co-chair is Laura Moon
  • The Secretary is Bonnnie Ramsay
  • The next full meeting of the Search Committee will be Saturday, December 3 at 10:30 a.m.

If you missed the congregational meeting last week, we received an outline of the process and timing of a call. There are additional copies of this outline at the back of the sanctuary so please feel free to take one.

We ask that you continually keep this committee in your prayers as they begin the search for our next pastor.

Something is MissingIn going over the inventory for our Library, we noticed there are a number of books out (for a long time) with the pink cards still in them! When people take books from the Library and do not leave the pink card behind it makes us very difficult to track things.

For example, we're missing the following titles:

  • "The Preacher's Daughter" by Beverly Lewis
  • "The Englisher" by Beverly Lewis
  • "Glorious Appearing" by Tim LaHaye.

We would greatly appreciate it if you have any of these titles or others from our Church Library that you return them as soon as possible. Thanks for your cooperation.

  • Have you changed your email address?
  • Do we have your email address?

Feel free to fill out the back of the bulletin with any changes and placethe sheet on the offering plate or call Karin Cowan in the office @ 746-9612.
