Annual Report 2009
The First Word
Dear friends
When I think about St. Andrew's I am always drawn to Paul's letter to the church at Corinth (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) where he very clearly points out both the beauty of the diversity of the body of Christ (the church) and the unity that is to exist in the body when we are surrendered in authentic Christian service to Christ. I think about St. Andrew's because both of these qualities of diversity and unity exist in abundance in our church family. We are certainly diverse. We come in all shapes and sizes, ages and races, with varying interests and gifts, and somehow, by God's grace, we are unified in purpose, faithfulness and focus, like a family who loves Christ should be unified. You can see this unity reflected in the prayer life of our church, in the care we expend on one another and in the welcome we give to newcomers. As I observe this interaction of diversity in unity at work in our midst I give thanks that I am your Pastor.
Annual Report March 2010
THE FIRST & LAST WORD
Dear Friends,
July of this year will mark the end of 11 years of pastoral service and ministry amongst you and, as you know, it will also be a time for us to say goodbye. Over these past 11 years we have journeyed together through seasons of great joy, family weddings, times of celebration, the birth and baptism of children and the spiritual rebirth of new believers. We have also supported one another in times of grief and illness and hardship. And in the midst of these things we have grown to love each and God overall. It has been a privilege to lead, love and teach in your midst. But now is the time for new things. Now is the time for God to begin to shape a new future for you as a church family. We will continue to pray for you that God will have the freedom to lead, that you will unite in love and that you will work, collaboratively, to embrace that new future.

The First Word
Dear friends,
The longer I remain in ministry the more I am convinced of the reality that the Christian life is not a sprint but a marathon. We have been ministering together now for eight years. Our years together have been good ones filled with challenges and successes, progress and failures, joy and sorrow, but in and through all this time we have seen and felt the hand of God guiding our steps.
Sometimes it may feel that the race is too long and that the continual burden of day to day, week to week, month to month faithfulness in ministry is too much but I would encourage you with the words of Paul to the church a Galatia:
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9)
