On November 1st the Session struck the following ad-hoc committees:


  • Sanctuary Change Committee
    Mandate
    Study the best way to change the physical structure of the front of the church to make it more functional for the way we do ministry now. Recommend changes to Session for their approval. Oversee change.
    Committee Leader: Ray Bauman
    Committee Members: Bill McNeice, Alex Morris, Bob Fisher, Bonnie Ramsay, (With power to add)
  • Visitor Follow-up Committee
    Mandate
    Study all areas of how we welcome, follow-up and monitor new visitors. Make recommendations to Session on the best way to proceed to improve our follow-up systems for newcomers. Oversee approved course of action.
    Committee Leader: Joan Moore
    Committee Members: Dave Hawken, John Hake, Gail Farquharson, Judy Locking, Laura Robinson, Michele House. (With power to add)
  • Anyone still wishing to help with the work of these two committees can speak to the committee leader. We still need helpers in the following committees:
  • Worship Diversity Committee
    Mandate
    Study how best we can use additional tools like multi-media, drama etc. in worship. Report findings to Session with recommendations. Oversee implementation of approved recommendations.
  • Morning Worship Services Committee
    Mandate
    Study the viability of beginning to hold two morning worship services. Flesh out details of the best way to implement this change. Make recommendation to Session regarding your findings.
  • Needs Based Committee
    Mandate
    Do an analysis of our present situation regarding church accessibility. Gather information regarding the local food security initiatives with recommendations to Session on how we can become more effective in this area of ministry. Develop a helping hands data base. Study the Out of the Cold proposal with recommendations as to how best we can implement this program. Investigate the feasibility of hosting an after school home work club.
  • Seniors Project Committee
    Mandate
    Study the feasibility of St. Andrew’s constructing a Senior’s Project. Make recommendation to session based upon your findings.
  • Please speak to Pastor Gary if you would like to serve on one of these committees.
