Communion Teams 2010

 Teams Responsible For
Bonnie Ramsay, Gord Pollard, Dennis Gillingham, Dennis Wellman    May 2nd          November 28th
Ray Bauman, Steve Gingrich, John Hake, Nancy Fisher June 27th
Joan Moore, Karin Cowan, Dot Joice, Ron Heidman October 3rd
  •  If you are unable to assist on your assigned date, please make arrangements at least a week prior to change with someone on another team and inform your team captain.
  •  Each team is responsible for the elements, set-up and clean-up on communion Sunday. The team captain will assign each communion who will bring grape juice and who will bring the bread. We find that one large bottle of grape juice is sufficient and as well two loaves of Texas Toast bread cut into cubes although perhaps more bread would be needed on a holiday weekend Sunday or Good Friday and Easter.

2010 COMMUNIONS

prayerchain

Heavenly Father we come to thy throne of grace knowing that nothing is going to happen to us this day that we can't handle together.
Amen
Prayer is simply talking to God. You can talk to God as you would talk to a very good friend. And you can tell God anything, whatever is in your heart and on your mind. Begin by talking to God about the things that are worrying you and the difficult situations you or others are going through. God cares for you and for the people you are concerned about. God promises to do far more for us even than we ask or think.

One simple way to pray is to picture in your mind the people you are concerned about. Imagine Jesus looking at them with love, just as you are looking at them with your love. Then imagine God’s loving arms surrounding them.

prayerpower

As most of you are aware, St. Andrew's is a praying congregation and we are so grateful for this. We have a 'prayer chain' under the leadership of Joan Moore with Bill Richmond as assistant

whylistenA Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. 'I've gone for 30 years now,' he wrote, 'and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all.'
