The Transition Committee shall:

  1. establish a transition plan in the light of Pastor Gary’s retirement
  2. exhibit leadership, with Session,  in the implementation of the plan
  3. review and redefine ministry job descriptions (Note 1)
  4. analyze the congregations feedback from the Vision Congregational Meeting and recommend to session appropriate responses to the concerns raised.
  5. formulate a five year vision and plan for the ministry for St. Andrew’s to present to session.

Note 1:

Ministry:   the term ministry includes all who “minister” at St. Andrew’s and is not intended to be limited to the Pastor alone.

 

Minutes of the Transition and Vision Tem meeting of June 20, 2010 This was the introductory meeting and simply reviewed the terms of reference and addressed housekeeping issues.

 

Minutes of the July 4, 2010 meeting of the Transition and Vision Team. At this meeting the team reviewed the results of the May meeting of the congregation and set some priorities for dealing with the issues.

 
In May 2010 a meeting of the congregation produced a wealth of suggestions, comments, and constructive criticisms that the Vision and Transition Committee is considering. The committees first task was to bring some sense of priority to the list.
